These pages contains training videos (screencasts) for various topics in Computing. They were developed by me for students at Northumbria Uni, but several are general and should be useful to anyone.

Screencasts demonstrate various tasks using downloadable video clips. They may be paused, stopped, fast forwarded etc, and are useful if you are trying to learn or revise a technique or package. Usually you will run the application you are learning in a separate window so you can swap between the video and the app.

Screencasts have a sound track to explain what is going on. If you are in a shared lab or office, I recommend using earphones. Your usual ipod/mp3 player phones should be compatible with computer audio card sockets (check the computer volume is not muted).
